Free & Easy Pick Me Up

150 150 Christy

I just wanted to pop in with this little tidbit I learned about as I read the Wall Street Journal this morning

If you’re feeling blue, there’s a FREE, quick, simple and easy way to boost your mood and reduce any depression symptoms you might be feeling. And you can do it right now!

According to a recent international study, the #1 thing you can do to reduce your pandemic-induced blues is listen to music.

In light of that, I ran right over and grabbed my favorite Christmas music (from the 80’s) — here’s a sneak pick of them — do you remember these?

I’m sure you have some favorites you can put on right now and feel immediately better. (Just call upon Alexa to play your favorite, or access your favorite way to get music.)

And presto! Your mood will lift all around.

Interestingly, the study also alluded to the possibility cooking could do the same thing (for SOME people-NOT ME!), so if you like to cook, now you have an even better excuse to pull out your favorite recipe and pans and get cooking.

In light of this good news, what are you listening to or cooking up this weekend

Hit reply and let me know.

Cheering you on,

Christy 🙂

P.S. Here’s a link to the article I read this morning that inspired this email. Susan Pinker gives more details on the study and she’s such a good writer, I’m sure you would enjoy reading it.

And if you want a little nostalgia (and some great Christmas music), here’s a link to Amy Grant’s Home for Christmas CD. And here’s a link to 4Him’s, The Season of Love CD.

(I think both are available on Amazon Music for streaming free as well.)
