Had to fix that - I wrote 163, but it's actually 153. Went from 153.6 to 153.1. :-)

Renee, oh good for you! Why is it we are so hard on ourselves? Let's keep the fit and healthy mantra in our minds rather than "skinny" lies. And I know about promising our children. That's what is so difficult for me. When I am so human and NOT PERFECT and they see it and I feel embarrassed. I guess it's a journey for all of us. Keep me updated on your progress! Next Friday let's share our victories!

Oh Christy, thanks so much for saying out loud what I have been beating myself up for in my head, especially after trying on bathing suits to buy yesterday. Last summer I promised my son that I would be fit enough to water ski this summer. So far my attempts to keep that promise have been feeble at best. I plan to redouble my efforts starting last evening and as of this moment I am on track. 175

Thanks Carrie. I always thought I was so transparent, but reading Brene's book has really caused me to recognize some areas that need work! :) So glad you are reading my blog. That means a lot to me!

Congratulations Annie! You are inspiring me! I'll have to dig out my fitbit. I think I need a new colored bracelet for it...I'm just not feeling the black! :)

In the spirit - On 12/26/2013 I weighed 180.8. I had never hit that number before and never will again. I felt just as you described. Haven't weighed myself yet today, but I as of last week I am at 163. It was fast at first, now it's slow and steady. I encourage you to keep at it. My FitBit is one of my best friends now....when I started I was at about 5,000 steps per day on average. Now it's over 7,000. I am trying to steadily build up to 10,000 as part of my day. I eat small meals six times per day...or should I say "sneals."
